I did a writing course at the start of this year (2026) in my local library. At the end of the course we were invited to write a 300 word essay from the perspective of something in the library. The questions which came to my mind were, is there a Bible in the library, and would the staff know where it was if they were asked? The idea was that these essays would be read out to audiences at both Beeston and Arnold libraries, but my voice isn’t up to public reading. So I asked a friend from church, John Gibbon, if he would read it for me, and he did.

Welcome to my Writer’s Bloke website. Its purpose is to be a place where I can put on display the various things I write, or have written in the past, whether they are songs, stories or poems, etc. Here are some of the things I have written:
Books
I have three books self-published and for sale on Amazon. The first is a story abut Jesus’ second coming Yesterday was an Ordinary Day and the second and third books are stories for children based around two hedgehogs called Wordsworth and Aunt Beryl. The books are entitled, The Little World of Wordsworth and Wordsworth and the Grand Expedition.
Films
I have written three film scripts telling the story of Christmas (Not the Nine Lessons and Carols of Christmas, Mary & Joe and Advent Cottage) and one for Easter (The Day After You’re Gone). Songs
I have written a lot of songs in the past, and I will continue to do so. This website is where I shall be putting the songs, in the form of videos, so that they can be seen and heard…otherwise, what’s the point in writing them?
